Tracks 1-7: Dead Man . Originally issued as the Hookah LP H-330. Recorded at Audio Recorders, Phoenix, Arizona, March 1970.

Track 8 : Recorded by Rip West, one of the bands that would evolve into Josefus.

Track 9 : The first Josefus studio session while still performing as United Gas.

Tracks 10-12 : Three early Josefus live tracks from a 1969 appearance at Love Street Light Circus in Houston.

Tracks 13-16 : Tracks 13 & 14 originally issued as Hookah 78009. Tracks 15 & 16 originally issued as Hookah 78010. Recorded at Rampart Street Recording Studios, Houston, 1978.

Tracks 8-12: Dead Man aLive . Originally issued as the MTV CD MVT 15023.
