Notes

A collection of three long atmospheric recordings all based on sounds created using the Metasynth virtual synthesizer program. This program creates sounds from visual images allowing the composer to literally "paint" the sounds. Image files are loaded into the application and then used to generate the audio files which are loaded into the computer's sampler software. The sounds resulting from this have a very complex and ethereal quality which is well suited to ambient washes.

WE come froM the wAter and we reTurn To thE wateR.
When we begin, we are in the formlessness of the fluid. Existing, but without structure. Through the twin forces of ATTRACTION and REPULSION, the components of this substance begin to collect and become solid.

The solid, brings about the emergence of mechanisms for manipulating it. Those mechanisms are governed by MATHEMATICAL processes, but are not necessarily predictable. Even the most basic mathematical system can easily produce random results. CHAOS exists in infinity.

Existence has an infinite variety of combinations and an infinite amount of TIME. Time is only a means of measurement and does not set any actual limits on existence. TIME refers only to sub-components of the WHOLE and the various stages of their being. It simply marks when those components BEGIN and END. Through this process LIFE is created.

We are born as a SINGULAR entity, but are never separated from the WHOLE. On every level of our existence, we are attached. To be attached to existence is to BE.

Birth is painful and there is always FEAR in the process. The unknown is always a threat as long as it remains unknown. Emerging into LIFE brings one face to face with a barrage of unknown experiences.

In TIME, the noise of existence begins to fade into the background and the MUSIC begins to emerge. Within all of the clatter of sensations, patterns can be perceived and thoughts become stable.

Patterns are HIERARCHICAL. They are a triad where two support one. This is the minimum basis for all support systems. What is dependent is always lesser than what supports. This is the basis of UNDERSTANDING. This is the mechanism which brings things together (attraction).

TIME creates duality and sets a mark between "IS" and "NOT". The modulation between these polarities creates CHANGE and this is the mechanism which rearranges the parts (repulsion).

All of this rests on the eternal link between two polarities through unity. Unity transcends time and returns all to a state of formlessness. WE Come from the wAteR and wE return to the water.

This can only be KNOWN if you stand on your head.
