"These recordings came to me accidentally.
In the parcel which Roedelius sent me, together with regular albums I found two untitled CD-R discs. The first of these was a live recording of some anthems. On the other I found piano recordings made by Roedelius at home - 18 piano pieces commonly titled "Liveklavier".
New pieces these were not. These pieces have long been familiar to me and loved by me.
And these raw takes of performed with occasional errors pieces fascinated me. I was listening and imagining myself sitting in a chair in a darkened room in the house of Achim as he was slowly playing his favorite instrument - as if for my ears only." Compay Ferrer
