The EPs eponymous 'Code Fusion' is a reverb drenched head-nodding dub breaks journey guided by evolving melodic signposts that sing out through deep rolling bass, glitched textures and de-tuned skanks. Deep tune! Next, Process Rebel takes two of his favorite original riddims and re-rubs them to show even more shine, detail and vision. In 'Step Specialist (2013 mix)' a comb-filtered synth melody raps and flows over a propelling gallop and subtle thematic linkages that highlight a smooth and harmonically rich arrangement. Next-up is 'Dem Outta Here (2013 mix)', where classic dub melody over resampled breaks punctuated by auto-filtered guitar stabs combine with a dance floor friendly baseline for maximum dub solution inna dance. Side B rounds out the Process Rebel originals with 'Skank Division', a punchy, percussive dub positive body mover especially fit for bridging reggae/dub vibes with hip-hop. Enter 'Dem Outta Here (Richie Phoe Remix)'; a complete re-visioning of the original with new processed vocals and expertly added sonic dirt, Richie takes the parts and makes them completely his own. An instantly classic sounding tune! Wrapping up the EP is 'How It Go Feat. Profisee (Kasm Remix)'. Based on the Step Specialist riddim this tune sets chopped-up vocal bits adrift in sea of rich dreamy dub techno textures and vibe that puts this remix into a brilliant space of its own.
