A1 was recorded straight to cassette in Richard's Garage. It was written and recorded live, with Mick & Neale handling drum machine and synths, plus assorted percussion. Not to sure when this was recorded.
A2 and A3 were recorded in Bumble Studio, Penkhull, Stoke On Trent in Auguest 1980. They were entered into a National Battle of the Bands competition. Chris Bailey did the vocals for both these tracks. Smith did the drum machines, Neale and Mick did the synths. They were produced and engineered by Mick, Neale, and Kenny.
A4-A5 and B1-B4 were recorded in Bumble Studio, Penkhull, Stoke On Trent, in one session, between 1980 -1982, possibly early 1983. Neale handled vocals, synth, drum machine. Mick handled vocals, synth, drum machine. This session was financed by Neale, to save for posterity most of the remaining All The Madmen set. "Long Life" was made up on the spot to fill up the last half hour of studio time. Neale and Mick were drinking some cans of Long Life beer at the time. They found the backing vocals used on repetition on a tape in the studio, and randomly dropped them in. The session was produced and engineered by Mick & Neale. All the vocals on the recordings were done in one take. All the songs Neale sang on were recorded in a 6 hour session.
B5 was recorded straight to cassette in Richard's Garage. It was written and recorded live, with Mick & Neale handling drum machine and synths, plus assorted percussion. Not too sure when this was recorded.
Most of this Album was recorded for posterity and was never envisaged as a release ...
