The story told by the songs on this demo would later be expanded on into the storyline of the critically acclaimed 1993 concept album, also called "Heart of a Killer".

Includes double-sided fold-up insert with thanks list for every member, and all lyrics.

Artwork done by the bands original bassist, Jackie Blade, who was in the band during the Autumn's Ruin days.

This was also Winters Bane's first recording with former Brainicide and Dammage Inc (band name spelled woth 2 m's), singer Tim Owens, who would soon earn worldwide recognition after spending several years as singer in Judas Priest and later in Iced Earth.
