Notes

This is the third Staalplaat Soundsystem Yokomono LP focused on Helsinki and its environmental sounds. Co-produced by Staalplaat Soundsystem & Avanto festival in Helsinki, Finland.

Side A features a work composed from field recordings realized at the turn of the 60s and 70s at the Hietalahti shipyard in Helsinki (Finland) and discovered in the special effects archive of YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company). The result is two different compositions by Mika Vainio and Petri Kuljuntausta cut in parallel, smoothly interlaced within one single track.

Side B Staalplaat Soundsystem have invited 11 artists to produce five loops of 1.8 seconds from their own sound environments.
