Born In Sorbolo, a little country near Parma, Italy, Sergio Farina began trumpet studies at the Conservatory of music in Milan but afterwards he will prefer the guitar and with this instrument he began sitting in with various Italian jazz groups and came to the attention of critics and public for his young-looking talent & ability. Sergio Farina played with Gerry Mulligan, Deodato's orchestra in Venice and with other numerous stranger artists. As arranger, Farina has recorded with Italian top singers as Mina, Milva, Gaber, Jannacci, etc. and worked for radio and television. As guitarist, Sergio Farina shows extraordinary capacity. He communicates emotion with immediate impact and warm sensitivity. In this "Pressing Life" album, Farina plays very well in the contemporary sound style and confirms to be one of the todays unusually stimulating guitarists of the Italian scene.
