The "Great Bells For Hire" album project was launched in September 96.
All the 11 bands recording on this album, gathering almost 30 musicians, perform regularly at "The Bell" in Pibrac, near Toulouse (France).
This album was a great opportunity to achieve a common goal, knowing that the musicians come from different horizons (France, England, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and the United States, just to name a few !).
First of all, we would like to thank all of the musicians fort their hard work, their families for putting up with all this, Anne, Mario and Marianne who have spent time and nerves on the cover and booklet, Oliver and Vincent for their concern during and after the recordings, and everybody who believed in it happening.
Special thanks to British Aerospace Toulouse S.A. and Rolls Royce for their support.
We all hope you will appreciate listening to this record over and over again, and hope to see you soon in "The Bell".
-
Special thanks to John Eaves, Tom McVeigh, Philippe Suquet and Lucas Blumenfeld, whose efforts went into the making of this album.
Thanks also to Mike Plant, Steve Marshall, Heather Hugues, Eric Thédié, Janice Holland, SPS, Thomas Moutone, Nick, Son Art Scène (3615 CD Gratos), the bands and their musicians, for all the help and their great job.
Many thanks to all the subscribers who believed in this album. We hope you enjoy listening to these recordings and hope to see you soon in "The Bell", Pibrac (near Toulouse) - France, where we perform regularly.
